The AIESEC International Internship Program
AIESEC exchange program allows companies to find high potential students and young graduates coming from more than 900 universities in more than 105 countries in the world.
AIESEC is currently working with more than 3000 partners every year to answer to their needs to recruit interns for short term and long term internships.
The different steps of the program :
- Internal interview : Each AIESEC comity pre-screens candidates for internships through a selection process called review board. This board is composed of one company representative, one AIESEC member, one former intern and one academic representative. This board checks the language level of the candidate, his experience. If the candidate gets selected, his profile is entered in our database.
- Profile identification : The company fills in a questionnaire to give us a description of a suitable candidate based on different criterias. We also ask the company to give us a description of the internship offered to allow the future candidates to have an idea of the job they are going to do. Once we have these documents, we enter them into our database.
- Internal selection : In 2 to 12 weeks, AIESEC provides a list with the best suitable profiles to the company. AIESEC arranges phone or online interviews if desired. The company has the final decision on the candidate they need.
- VISA services : AIESEC is taking care of all administrative formalities in order to get the visa if needed. We have a Work Permit Exemption which makes the process faster. The internship lasts between 2 and 18 months for an EU intern. For a non EU intern, it can not exceeds 12 months.
- Preparation : AIESEC is taking care of preparing the candidate to the cultural difference between the 2 countries.
- Reception : AIESEC is responsible for picking-up the intern, helping him to find an accommodation, registering to the commune, organizing a visit of the city or opening a bank account.
- Integration services : AIESEC invites all the interns to participate to its activities at local and national level. We help the interns to get in touch with other interns of our network currently in Belgium.
- Evaluation : AIESEC performs several evaluations throughout the internship to insure that the needs of both the company and the intern are met. We are opened to feedback to always improve the quality of our services.

What do you need to do ?
- To provide an interesting internship to host the candidate.
- To give us a good description of the candidate you are looking for.
- To select the candidate through phone or on-line interviews if desired.
- To provide the candidate with a minimum salary corresponding to the legal minimum in your sector or at least 1050 EUR net per month.
- To pay a fee of 1200 EUR (multinationals) or 900 EUR (SMEs) per candidate to AIESEC in order to sustain our activities and the costs coming from the exchange program.
