This event will be open to all students from "Université catholique de Louvain" and on the campus of Louvain-la-Neuve keen to learn more about Finance and the Stock Market. The promotion of the event will be done on the entire campus of Louvain-la-Neuve via posters, emails and class presentations.
What does this event consist of?
“Virtual Stock Market @ Campus”The purpose of this event is to bring students closer to the real stock market world, by organising a stock market game with rewards.
The main part of the event is a virtual stock market game where participants will be allocated with a virtual sum of money and will be allowed to invest this money freely. The participants with the best returns will be awarded with attractive prizes, which will motivate a lot of students to participate. These prizes will be provided by companies sponsoring the event.
To help the participants gain knowledge about the stock market and investment strategies, we plan on organizing workshops before and during the game. These will include general information about the functionalities of the virtual stock market platform, information about the stock market in general (what are stocks? Bonds?) and more specific information about investment strategies and other things which might be useful to have success in the game.
The workshops will be hosted by both AIESEC and the sponsors of the event, preferably companies with heavy involvement in Finance.
